Humanitarian ID v2

In any humanitarian crisis, an accurate contact list is critical to help ensure an effective response. Unfortunately, managing a such a contact list is nearly impossible, resulting in many outdated lists and frustrated responders. The Humanitarian ID provides a "self-managed" approach to contact lists.

The backend API of Humanitarian ID v2 was entirely built by GVJ Web Consulting, using the new framework TrailsJS, which I wrote about in my blog recently. v2 not only provides a new restful API which, according to performance testing, performs 5 times faster than the previous version, but also provides better support for OpenID Connect and also the possibility to use Json Web Tokens as an authentication mechanism. The client application has also been redesigned to offer better User Interface, thanks to the work of Amy Benson

Humanitarian ID v2 provides a single sign-on solution for more than 20,000 users, a bit more than half of them also using the application to provide a better and faster Humanitarian Response. Visit http://about.humanitarian.id if you want to know more.
