Humanitarian ID

In any humanitarian crisis, an accurate contact list is critical to help ensure an effective response. Unfortunately, managing a such a contact list is nearly impossible, resulting in many outdated lists and frustrated responders. The Humanitarian ID provides a "self-managed" approach to contact lists.

The Humanitarian ID concept emerged while I was working with UNOCHA to build the Humanitarianresponse platform, and GVJ Web Consulting built the first very early prototypes. A year later, Phase 2 was hired to build the production version, which is now live. GVJ Web Consulting now supports and maintains this platform (built in Node.js), working in close contact with Phase 2.
